Thanksgiving Decor

Here are a few pictures of the Thanksgiving Decor. I love to decorate for the holidays
and as soon as Halloween was over I put away the Halloween decorations and added the Thanksgiving decorations to my fall decor.

Recently my Dad gave me a few more boxes of some of my Mom's things. I was so blessed to find many new treasures including these darling pilgrims figurines.
Above is a banner I made several years back...I love hanging it up every year and reflecting on what I'm thankful for.
The wooden figurine of a Saint was also my Mom's, as were the old suitcases that I'm using here as a  small table to display some decor.

I was also very excited to find several pieces of china that belonged to my Mom to display in our dining room hutch. My Mom collected all sorts of decor items that had acorns on them and these pieces are very special as they have acorns and leaves on them.
Above is a very unique bowl with hand painted acorns and leaves and a cup and saucer. Below is a close up shot of the bowl and cup and saucer.

Above are two more cups and saucer sets. The one on top has a turkey on the saucer and fall fruit on the cup.
Above and below are close ups of the cups and saucer sets.
Below is a closer shot of the hutch. As can be seen there are several other beautiful pieces that I recently inherited from my Mom's fall china collection. I look forward to displaying these beautiful pieces every fall season going forward.

Above in our kitchen I have displayed a vintage framed Goodhousekeeping magazine cover, a fall floral bouquet and two precious porcelain praying pilgrims. These also belonged to my Mom. I've had them for about 5 year now and enjoy them so much each year.
Additionally in the kitchen I've put out my beloved pilgrim family on the little shelf above my sink.
These were also my Moms and I've had these for about 5 years as well. I just love these figurines and they were favorites of my Moms as well.
Also in the kitchen I decorated the iron shelf piece in the little corner nook. Below are close ups of each shelf.
The little turkey plate was a new treasure that I found this year in the box from my Dad.

....as was this wooden turkey! I just love him.
.....and last but not least is the little Indian figurine that I actually bought for my Mom one year as a birthday gift. I'm blessed to have it now and I placed her with a crate of pumpkins.
She looks like she is selling the pumpkins!

Below are a few Thanksgiving cards I made over the weekend. I used the "Flirty" paper packet from Close to My Heart to make these cards.

I hope that you and yours has a blessed Thanksgiving! Thanks for reading Definitely Debi.

Who to prepare Sunrider Herbal Foods

For my new customers who are starting to receive their Sunrider herbal foods, I want to be sure that you know what to do with them when you get your shipment! Therefore here is a short tutorial on how to mix the herbal foods. I have additionally emailed each one of you with further intructions as to how much to eat of the foods and when. If you are not currently a customer of mine, please feel free to contact me at (702) 788-6451 for more information on how to get started on Sunrider herbal foods for better health and weight loss. See my next post for my personal success story in eating Sunrider herbs.

I keep my Sunrider products in my pantry in a plastic storage bin that I picked up at the $1 store.
Sunrider foods are whole foods made from food herbs. There are 3 categories of herbs, poisonous (used in pesticides), medicinal (used in supplements) and food herbs which are in Sunrider foods. The bulk has been removed and what is left is whole food nutrition.

To mix up your Calli Tea and Fortune Delight you need to start with bottled or purified water. I used bottled distilled.

I discussed consuming regular Calli tea and Calli night tea with a few of my customers. If you are just drinking regular Calli tea than you will only need one 1 gallon pitcher or container. If you are drinking both regular and night tea you will need two 1 gallon pitchers or containers.
Pour water into each container leaving about 3 inches space at the top. Set aside.

Next, measure out 2 cups of water for each 1 gallon container of tea you are making. Pour into a tea kettle. (please excuse my ugly tea kettle...hoping Santa will bring me a new one!)

Keep the lid off and turn the burner all the way up to high and let the water start to heat. When you notice that the water is just starting to bubble around the top and steam a little it is ready. This is the "just before boiling stage". You don't want your water boiling or it will destroy the enzymes in the tea. Alternatively you don't the water too cool either. It needs to be hot, not luke warm. The little bubbles and steam is your best indicator for when the water is ready.
Pour the 2 cups of hot water back into your liquid measuring cup
If you are making two containers of tea and heated 4 cups of water than pour the additional 2 cups into a 2nd liquid measuring cup.
You are now ready to make your Calli tea. The blue packet is night tea and the orange packet is the original.

Additionally you will need a packet of fortune delight for each container of tea you are making. My favorites are the lemon and the peach.

Open and pour a packet of fortune delight into each  2 cups of hot water.

Take a whisk and whisk up each container of fortune delight.

Next, open each packet of Calli tea you are preparing and
just plop it into the whisked fortune delight water.
In this case, a night time Calli tea bag
....and a regular Calli tea bag.

Once you have your tea bag or bags in the hot water with the fortune delight, set your timer for 15 mins and let the tea steep.
When the fifteen mins is up, remove the tea bag or bags and gently squeeze to get all the wonderful herbs out you can.

Then, pour the hot "Calli Delight" (calli tea and fortune delight combination) into the 1 gallon container full of water.

 Whisk well.
At this point you should sweeten your tea with the Sunny Dew Stevia sweetener to taste. (not pictured)
I highly recommend you get a plastic tumbler cup with a lid and straw and keep it filled up with ice and drink the tea as directed in the email I will send you. The email will explain when to drink the regular tea and when to drink the night tea.

To "eat" your NuPlus (which stands for Nutrition Plus) you will need a shaker bottle.
Open the packet of NuPlus and pour into the shaker bottle.

Pour approximately 8 oz of the "Calli Delight" tea into the shaker bottle.

Place lid on top and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE it up well.
Let the NuPlus sit for about 5 mins before drinking it. This gives the little pieces of fruit time to soften. Shake again and enjoy. If you have some of the NuPlus particles left in your shaker, just add more tea, shake again and drink until it is all gone.

The tea and the NuPlus are both delicious and you will begin to crave them both each day as your body gets healthier and healthier.

Information on how to prepare and consume Quinary will be included in the email I send you along with all the instructions on when and how much of the Sunrider foods to consume.
